Chapter 7 - 17th June 2010 - Port Angeles, WA.

17th June 2010 - Port Angeles, WA.

Felix pulled into the alley behind the warehouse, 'what a dump' he thought to himself as he parked behind another SUV. James waited beside a large metal door to greet him, a smirk firmly plastered on his face. Felix disliked him immensely, the guy was an idiot and he couldn't stand having to clean up for some no marks stupidity. Felix raised an eyebrow at James taunting him, daring him to try him, he'd met assholes like this before, the guy is a liability and he'd take great pleasure in cleaning house after this was over.

James pushed off from the door and walked over to the SUV, greeting Felix with an insincere smile and loose handshake, Felix bristled, the man had no honour. He motioned to the trunk of the vehicle, silently telling the jerk to bring in his bounty, before striding off through the door to find Demetri. James sneered behind Felix' back then turned back to the trunk to lift the still unconscious Bella Swan and carry her down to the holding cell they'd prepared for her. He smiled to himself, he hoped that they'd allow him some alone time to reacquaint with the young woman, he was sure he could get her to talk and relished in the idea of the fun he could have in extracting the information.

James dropped Bella unceremoniously on the mould crusted mattress they'd hastily thrown into the room, her head lolled to the side, indicating she was still out cold, he bent to wipe a wisp of hair from across her face, delighting in the feel of the soft skin of her cheeks. He backed out of the room, bolting the large steel door from the outside, he'd wait, he could do that, the others would complete the plan and he would bide his time to exact his own brand of pleasurable torture on the unsuspecting Bella Swan. The little bitch was a thorn in his side and he was convinced she had something to do with Laurent going missing. He wasn't stupid, he knew she was on to them, but she couldn't do anything now.

Felix prowled the lower level of the warehouse in search of Demetri, he was impressed with the clean corridors, the air controlled systems that were in place, so the little shit had some skill, didn't mean he was going to braid hair and paint his nails with him. He turned the corner to the final room and stopped in front of the large window, he could see Demetri hard at work, assembling the components for the chemical bomb they were going to put on the ship, they'd used this ruse before, draw them to the ship to distract away from the real threat, it worked every time. Felix grinned at his friend, knocking on the glass and crossing his eyes jokingly. Demetri smiled and nodded towards the door of the ante room, he tightened one more screw before laying down his tools and walking to join Felix and to get an update.

The two men embraced like family, brothers in arms.

"What news brother?" grinned Demetri.

"I have her, she was surprisingly easy to get to, in fact she put up more of a fight than the security detail, I may have been a little rough."

"As long as she's alive, we'll need to keep the other two from her, the woman is crazy and the guy, well I don't trust him."

"Oh she's alive, I had to dope her, she's feisty I'll give her that, she should come round in a few hours, she'll have one hell of a headache."

Felix waited while Demetri changed out of his chem suit and they walked to the holding cell. Demetri peeked through the small view finder in the door, Bella lay curled on the mattress, blissfully unaware of the danger she was in. Demetri smiled, she's pretty he thought to himself, beautiful even, such a shame that he'd have to kill her at the end of this.

"So brother, what do you think, She's pretty no?" grinned Felix.

"Beautiful, such a shame she's going to die."

Felix nodded in agreement; he wasn't immune to the attributes of the young woman that lay unconscious in the room ahead of them.

"I'll put a lock on the door, only you and I will have access. That should prevent our 'friends' getting to her." Felix murmured.

"The sooner the better my brother, the wolves are already circling."

At that moment, James appeared at the end of the corridor, he walked calmly towards the two men, he'd hoped they'd be busy elsewhere, so that he could get a little time with their new guest. Felix glared at him, while Demetri smiled.

"Ah, just in time, James I have a job for you," said Demetri.

"Yes, Demetri, what do you ask?" James responded smoothly. The two men made him nervous, but he would show no fear, this was all about the end game.

"Is the consignment ready, I have the final piece to add to the container, as soon as you're ready I want it taken to the ship."

"Everything is prepared, Vicky has the container loaded on the truck out back, we're just waiting on you." he snarked.

"Patience my friend, all good things come to those who wait, have my work loaded up and then get it to the ship, sooner rather than later," replied Demetri.

James nodded and left them to collect the bomb; he was intrigued by the mixture of chemicals and wires that Demetri had worked tirelessly on for the past two days. He had to admit, the man was a genius. With Victoria's assistance the bomb was loaded into the container and bolted in, finally setting the next phase of the plan into action. They drove across town to the docks, shrouded in darkness, the streets were quiet due to the lateness of the hour and the journey was unhindered. They joined a small line of trucks at the dock, each with matching containers, waiting to be loaded on the 'Bella Principessa'. James chuckled to himself, if all went well, the Intelligence people in Washington would pick up on the ship, its logs intentionally made to match the Embassy Star, the hold intentionally flooded to make it sit low in the water in order to fool them in to thinking it wasn't as empty as it was meant to be. The captain had been bribed to take cargo ahead of the week’s shore leave, a large sum of money and pictures of his family had secured his tongue. With the trap baited, all they needed to do now was wait.

James and Victoria drove back to the warehouse; the Swan woman should be awake now, James was eager to get in some one on one interrogation time with her. Victoria on the other handed wanted some one on one time herself, she was enraged by James eagerness to 'play' with this little whore and she wanted to do nothing more than cause her as much pain as possible.
They divided as they entered the lower chamber, James was eager to go and find the young woman being held deeper in the underground bunker, but he needed to bide his time. It would be foolish to rush straight down there. He needed to find Felix and Demetri first, to know where they were so that he had some idea of how much time he’d have to ‘talk’ with Ms Swan.

He pulled his jacket close around him and headed down the steep staircase that went towards the secure lab, if they were anywhere other than with the girl. It would be here. He was however disappointed to find the lab corridor and vacuum secured rooms empty. That only left one other place for them to be. James was angered to think that they would get first go with the young woman, she’d been so feisty when faced with him and Victoria in Washington only days ago. He was eager to break her. He practically salivated at the prospect of conducting his own special brand of interrogation. He knew even the much famed Jane of the Volturi would be enamoured by his barbaric techniques.

Victoria had remained in the loading area, ensuring the truck was secured and well hidden from view. She knew what James was up to, she didn’t need to be psychic. He blamed the young woman for the capture of Laurant all those months ago. She knew there was more to it than that. Things were getting more dangerous and while that held no fear for her, she was concerned at having to bring in help. Victoria didn’t like change. She didn’t like the attention the woman was getting either. James is hers, not some snivelling little bitches and it would be a cold day in hell before she gave him up without a fight.

Having made sure everything was locked away and they hadn’t been followed, she made her way into the bunker. She knew that James would be seeking out where Demetri and Felix were before he went to get his jollies with the young woman. So instead of following the obvious path, she instead made direct for the woman, the cause of all her tension these last few months.

As she turned the corridor the holding cell was situated, she came face to face with Felix, caught by surprise momentarily, she quickly pulled herself together and made her presense known.

“Felix, I was looking for James, he disappeared while I was securing the truck.” She said, her squeaky voice rising in pitch that would scare dogs.

“Not seen him, perhaps Dem is with him.” He said with a shrug before returning to fit an electronic lock on the cell door.

Victoria watched as he tightened the mechanism his strong forearms flexing and stretching with the movement. Well that will make getting to the girl a little more difficult she thought to herself. Felix continued fitting the device to the door, fully aware that he was being watched and try terribly hard not to chuckle at the obvious anger radiating from the fiery red head. He half expected her to stamp her foot and flounce off.
“I was going to send James for takeout, do you have a preference?” She asked scrutinizing the device for possible flaws.

“Chinese will be fine, I’m sure Dem will want a large soda or something too.” He replied, not even casting a look in her direction.

“Okay, is there anything I can do to help?” She pushed.

“Nope almost done here.”  He replied.

Victoria fumed with frustration, why did James have to call them in? She griped internally. She turned on her heal and headed back towards the lab area, standing here was getting her nowhere, other than fueling her anger. She found James heading towards the cell corridor, he blanched as he saw her turn the corner, then fumed at the thought that she may have gotten to his prize first.

“Don’t look at me like that James, I’ve not touched your toy, but you won’t be able to either. Felix is fitting a mechanical lock to her door. I guess we’re being shut out. I bet you’re so pleased that you invited them to join your party now.” Victoria all but growled at him. “Oh and Felix wants you to go get Chinese and soda.” She finished before continuing passed him.

James was furious, not only was Victoria being a prime bitch to him, but now the Volturi were scuppering any plans he had with the young woman. This would not do. Not at all. He continued on past the cell corridor and walked back to the staircase to the outside. Perhaps some fresh air and takeout would calm his temper and help him plan how to get to the young woman. Yes peace and quiet were very much needed right now he thought as he headed out into the night.
“I’ll have my turn Ms Swan, don’t doubt that.” He mumbled to himself as he strode into the darkness.
